Jensen Ackles Stuns Fans With Surprise Rock Performance in Nashville

Jensen Ackles traded the TV cameras for the stage in a show-stopping performance that left fans speechless.

The actor — best known for his iconic role as Dean Winchester on Supernatural and his recent turn as Russell Shaw on Tracker — joined Louden Swain, Mark Sheppard, and Richard Speight Jr. on stage during the Supernatural Nashville convention.

“An amazing Saturday Night Special in Nashville last night!” read the caption from Creation Entertainment, which shared the performance on social media. The event featured a powerful rendition of The Allman Brothers Band’s classic “Whipping Post,” performed between October 31 and November 2.

Ackles showed off impressive vocals on the beloved blues-rock hit — originally released on The Allman Brothers Band’s self-titled 1969 debut album — nailing every note as he sang into the mic, “Good Lord, I feel like I’m dyin’.”

The crowd went wild, cheering as Ackles pulled off a classic rockstar split jump, perfectly timed to the rhythm of the song.

Fans were quick to praise his performance. “It should be illegal to be this attractive and talented,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Love seeing how he has embraced his inner Rockstar!”

Ackles wasn’t alone on stage, either. Sheppard and Speight Jr. — who Supernatural fans will remember as Crowley, the King of Hell, and Archangel Gabriel, The Trickster — joined in the fun. Louden Swain, whose songs appeared in the series and its spinoff The Winchesters, rounded out the lineup.

Though Ackles recently faced a setback with Prime Video’s Countdown being canceled after one season, fans still have plenty to look forward to. He’s set to return in The Boys and the upcoming project Voight Rising.
