Kaley Cuoco, best known for The Big Bang Theory, has announced that she is expecting her second child with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, revealing that the couple is welcoming a baby girl.
The 40-year-old actress shared the news through a series of family photos posted on Wednesday. In the first image, a gender reveal cake filled with pink frosting confirmed the baby’s sex. Cuoco accompanied the post with an emotional message, writing: “Completing our little family. What a dream come true. This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways, but wow we are so grateful for this moment!!. Little sissy on the way!!! !”
The couple, who welcomed their first daughter Matilda in 2023, are expanding their family once again. In her post, Cuoco also referred to Pelphrey as “girl dad for life.” Among the shared images was an ultrasound scan that showed a surprising moment, which Cuoco humorously highlighted in her caption: “Yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!”

The announcement quickly drew widespread attention online, collecting hundreds of thousands of likes and thousands of comments. Congratulations poured in from several well-known names, including Jennifer Aniston, who simply wrote “Yay!” alongside heart emojis. She was joined by Cuoco’s The Big Bang Theory co-star Simon Helberg, as well as celebrities such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Justin Theroux, Rikki Lake, Alyssa Milano, and Lisa Rinna.
Cuoco and Pelphrey first met in 2022, became parents the following year, and got engaged in 2024. Although engaged, Cuoco previously said the couple had not yet started planning their wedding, joking: “Maybe we’ll have another kid first.” She added: “We don’t go in order, that’s our plan. I have four dogs and a baby, and that’s a lot!”
Cuoco has been married twice before. She married former tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013, but they divorced three years later. In 2018, she married Karl Cook, though that marriage also ended after three years.
Following her previous divorces, Cuoco once said she believed her days of marriage were over, stating: “I want a long-term relationship, but I will never marry again. Absolutely not.”
