After nearly a decade on screen, Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan are officially looking back on their Outlander journey as the beloved series reaches its final chapter.
Fans can now own all ten episodes of Outlander Season 8, the eighth and final season of the STARZ/Sony Pictures historical romance based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling novels. The complete season is available in both a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray set and DVD.
Season 8 brings the television story of Claire and Jamie Fraser to its conclusion, with Balfe and Heughan leading the series through its final episodes. Alongside all ten episodes, the home-release editions include several extras designed to celebrate the show’s long-running legacy.
Fans will find a blooper reel, deleted scenes and a retrospective looking back at the cast, crew and costumes that helped shape Outlander. The feature also puts a special focus on the fans who have supported the series throughout its run.
The Blu-ray Collector’s Edition includes additional collector cards and a 32-page booklet containing behind-the-scenes photographs and heartfelt letters from members of the cast and producers to the show and its fans.
One of the highlights is the “Fans and Legacy” featurette, which offers an emotional look back at Outlander while also showing some of the lighter moments shared by the cast behind the scenes.

In the exclusive footage, Balfe struggles to find the right words to describe what Claire has meant to her after so many years of playing the character.
“I don’t even know where to start. She has just been the most amazing character to play for so many years.”
Heughan turns his attention to the fans who have remained with the series throughout its journey.
“The fans have been amazing. So supportive throughout the years.”
Balfe also reflects on the people she worked alongside and the inspiration she found throughout the production.
“This has been the most amazing journey to be surrounded by all these amazingly talented people. I’ve been inspired constantly.”
Heughan adds: “I feel very proud to be a part of this epic journey and epic story.”
For Balfe, the experience was ultimately about much more than playing Claire. She describes Outlander as a massive collaboration involving countless people and creative elements working together.
“You’re such a part of a collaboration. There are so many elements that go into it and make it work and make it successful. To have been a part of something like that has been lifechanging.”
While Claire and Jamie’s television journey has now come to an end, the new home release gives fans an opportunity to revisit the final season and look behind the scenes at the making of one of television’s most enduring historical dramas.
