It’s been a few weeks since we last checked in on how things have been progressing with Prime Video and Showrunner Paul Grellong’s upcoming series The Boys: Vought Rising, starring Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Clara Vought, also known as Stormfront. But thanks to a bit of nostalgia from Ackles himself, fans just received a new update straight from the set.
Ackles posted a video on social media while walking through Queen’s Park in Toronto, where he is currently filming Vought Rising. The location sparked memories of his first time working there back in May 2021. The shared connection between both moments? In each instance, he was portraying Soldier Boy.
The actor pointed out that he even had the same bearded look he sported more than four years ago while shooting Season 3 of The Boys, offering fans a visual callback to his earlier days with the role.
“A little nostalgic moment for #tbt …. As time passes on and things change… it feels good to have some familiarity,” Ackles wrote in the caption accompanying his video. The post also included a look back at his masked set experience from 2021.
