Reacher Season 4 Officially Wraps: Alan Ritchson Shares Big Update

Production on Reacher season four has officially moved one step closer to our screens, with the team behind the hit series sharing an exciting update about the upcoming instalment.

The new season, led once again by Alan Ritchson, will adapt Lee Child’s 13th Reacher novel, Gone Tomorrow. In the book, Jack Reacher becomes entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that begins with a potential suicide bomber on a New York City subway. For the series, however, the action has been relocated, making Philadelphia the central setting of Gone Tomorrow.

While fans are still waiting for a confirmed release date, it appears the wait won’t be too long. Production on season four has officially wrapped, signalling that the new chapter is now deep into post-production.

A member of the production team celebrated the milestone on Instagram, writing: “Looks like Reacher Season 4 has officially wrapped! It’s been a long run. Great work to all the cast and crew. Thank you so much Alan…”

Ritchson himself recently hinted that filming was nearly complete. Speaking to Collider last week, he revealed: “One week left. Again, like I was saying, it’s a journey.” He went on to explain how demanding the series is on him: “I feel like the way the presidents come out of the White House looking grey and old, that’s how I feel each year doing Reacher. I feel like 10 lifetimes have been lived. So for me to be a week away, it’s like I see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Based on the production timeline, season four is expected to land sometime in 2026.

Earlier this year, the show also confirmed a notable cast change. Jay Baruchel, known for How to Train Your Dragon and BlackBerry, exited the project due to a personal matter. His character, small-town police officer Jay Merrick, has been recast and will now be played by Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette.
