It’s been a rough start to the year for Supernatural star Jared Padalecki — and fans are only just finding out why.
The actor recently revealed on social media that he broke his leg, casually slipping the news into a frustrated rant about a food delivery mishap. As it turns out, the injury was the reason he couldn’t leave his house in the first place.
“I have a cautionary tale about the @Favor app to hopefully save you from what I experienced over the last couple hours,” Padalecki explained. “Short version – I have a broken leg. So I can’t drive.”
Despite the injury, Padalecki made it clear he still had one essential priority. “But I can still eat. SO, I ordered some sushi using the @favor app, and it arrived…. But, only half of it arrived…”
According to the actor, the situation only grew more frustrating from there. “So, my favor delivery driver went BACK to the restaurant (the other half of my order was still there), and tried to grab it to deliver it to me…” Padalecki said, before explaining that the driver’s supervisors allegedly refused to allow the pickup.
Padalecki said customer service failed to resolve the issue, prompting a sharply worded response. “You’ve revealed what you really care about. And, my attempts and calling and texting and messaging you privately only prove that you really don’t give a shit about your customers. That is all.”
While the delivery saga sparked plenty of reactions, fans were far more concerned about the injury itself. Padalecki did not explain how he broke his leg, which quickly became the biggest talking point in the comments.
“Wait, you BROKE YOUR LEG??? So sorry (for both)!” one fan wrote.
Another joked about the emotional fallout: “Jared, You buried the lead, probably intentionally…but it’s not going to calm fangirls down. We are going to need EXTRA chocolate delivered after reading this.”
Others shared personal stories and wished him well. “Ouch on the broken leg as I know how that is and can definitely relate,” one commenter wrote. “Are you a cyborg like me and have a metal rod in your leg like I do?”
Another added, “Oh d–n bro. Hope for a speedy recovery on your leg. That’s fucked that they treated you that way. Hopefully it will shine a light on the shitty customer service!”
For now, Padalecki hasn’t shared any further details about the injury — but fans are clearly hoping his recovery goes far more smoothly than his sushi order did.
