Jensen Ackles’ ‘Tracker’ Gets Major Netflix Streaming Update

Jensen Ackles’ ‘Tracker’ Gets Major Netflix Streaming Update

Jensen Ackles continues to add major projects to his post-Supernatural career, and now one of his most popular recent series is heading to a much bigger streaming audience.

Ackles may always be best known as Dean Winchester, but his career has expanded considerably since Supernatural ended. He became Soldier Boy in Prime Video’s The Boys, landed the lead in Countdown, and took on a recurring role as Russell Shaw in CBS’ hit procedural Tracker.

Now, fans of Ackles and Tracker have another reason to be excited. The first three seasons of the Justin Hartley-led series are officially coming to Netflix internationally.

‘Tracker’ Seasons 1–3 Are Coming to Netflix

Tracker debuted on CBS in 2024 and has already delivered three seasons and more than 50 episodes. Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf investigator who travels around the country helping people solve mysteries and find missing loved ones.

Ackles appears as Russell Shaw, Colter’s brother, and although he has only appeared in a handful of episodes, his arrival is always a major event for fans of the show.

A new deal involving 20th Century Television has confirmed that ‘Tracker’ Seasons 1–3 will begin streaming internationally on Netflix on February 26, 2027.

Until now, viewers looking to catch up on multiple seasons have had to rely on Paramount+ or Hulu, making the Netflix arrival a significant expansion for the series.

The timing is also interesting, with Tracker entering its fourth season on CBS. Season 4 is set to premiere on Sunday, October 4, giving new viewers plenty of time to discover the series before Ackles returns as Russell Shaw.

Will ‘Tracker’ Be Renewed for Season 5?

CBS has not yet officially announced whether Tracker will return for a fifth season. However, there are already reasons for fans to be optimistic about the show’s future.

One of the biggest changes for Season 4 was the decision to move production from Canada to Los Angeles. The first three seasons were filmed in Canada, but CBS opted to relocate production for the new season.

That kind of production move represents a significant investment in the series, potentially suggesting that the network sees a long-term future for Tracker.

For now, fans can continue watching new episodes on CBS while waiting for news about Season 5. And with the first three seasons arriving on Netflix internationally in February 2027, the show could soon gain an entirely new audience.

For Jensen Ackles fans, that means even more opportunities to see Russell Shaw before the actor moves on to his next major projects, including Vought Rising.
